Escoffier is a hybrid healer, buffer, and sub DPS who is designed to buff freeze teams. She is very easy to use and offers a lot of utility for your teams as long as you place her within her niche.
Outside of these teams, she can still function with varying degrees of success but is best suited for teams of cryo and hydro only.
Behold the true meaning of “cooking”! Escoffier will demonstrate different cooking techniques when you Tap or Hold this skill. Escoffier’s Hold skill is very unique, similar to a food based parametric transformer that can create special dishes once per week. It should only be used for this as it has no function in combat.
Her Tap skill meanwhile, is combat oriented. Upon tapping her skill, it activates her All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek, dealing AOE cryo damage to nearby opponents. Afterwards, this mek will follow your active character and fire Frosty Parfaits at nearby opponents. This damage is single target and hits enemies once per second.
Displaying her exceptional knife skills, Escoffier deals AOE cryo damage and restores HP to all nearby party members based on her attack. After this initial teamwide healing, Escoffier’s A1 passive allows her to heal the on field character once per second for 9 seconds.
When there are 1/2/3/4 Hydro or Cryo characters in the party, Escoffier will decrease the Hydro RES and Cryo RES of any opponents hit by her elemental skill or burst by 5%/10%/15%/55% for 12 seconds.
This passive is what makes Escoffier’s best for teams centered around the freeze reaction as the difference in res shred between 3 and 4 characters of cryo and hydro is significant. Escoffier’s constellationss also encourage teams to be restricted to these two elements.

Escoffier’s build requirements can vary significantly depending on the team due to her energy needs. All of the calculations shown below (artifacts, weapons, constellations) are for a triple cryo team but what you need can be quite different depending on the teammates you chose to run her with.
Triple cryo: Triple cryo teams will usually consist of Escoffier, Furina, Shenhe, and a cryo DPS. In these teams her ER needs can be anywhere from 115-130 er; subs should be sufficient to fit this and you can gravitate towards weapons with more of a damage focus.
Double cryo: Double cryo Escoffier will often be seen when using her with a hydro DPS, such as Neuvillette, or with Wriothesley. In these teams her ER requirements tend to run from 150-170. ER sands should not be necessary like it is in solo cryo teams, but ER weapons will be helpful and you will still need to go out of your way to build energy on her.
Mono cryo: Mono cryo will never outperform a Furina team, but if you want to run it, Escoffier will typically have no energy needs.
Solo cryo: Solo cryo Escoffier can be difficult to run as her energy requirements can get very high (up to 200%). In these teams, she will typically be running ER/ATK/crit, functioning more as a buffer/healer with rather insignificant personal damage. In these teams, er weapons such as Engulfing Lightning, Favonius Lance, Mountain Bracing Bolt, and Tamayuratei no Ohanashi will perform better than they would in double or triple cryo teams. If Escoffier is not needed to heal, it may be best to forfeit building er and only burst every other rotation.
Non-freeze teams: Escoffier’s passive heavily incentivizes using her in freeze teams, however, she can be used outside of them. It is not typically recommended due to the er requirements and 40%+ loss in resistance shred. But Escoffier’s healing, personal damage, and consistent cryo application give her additional utility that can be used in other teams. In many of these teams, it may be best to burst every other rotation.

We will primarily focus on freeze teams, although some options beyond that will also be included. This list of characters is not exhaustive, Escoffier can be used with any combination of cryo and hydro characters, we only included the ones that would be optimal and common teammates, but know you could use her with Kaeya, Chongyun, or even Candace for example.
Significant team damage increase, both can use Shenhe
Decent team damage increase, Yelan better than Shenhe
Similar to current teams, should only to be used with Citlali Furina
Doesn’t outperform melt but still viable, both can use Shenhe
Significant team damage increase, Yelan best option
Phys is dead, embrace freeze
Strong personal damage, teamwide dmg %, requires Escoffier to burst every rotation
Flat dmg bonus, cryo res shred, cryo dmg %, skill/burst or NA/CA dmg %
Strong personal damage, on field dmg %
Hydro resistance shred, dmg % from scroll, can hold ttds
If you're struggling to make a team, you should have either Chevreuse, Mavuika, Furina or Xianyun, at least one of them. In that case, you should pair that character with Escoffier and Iansan and some other support who is a flex slot, for example: Escoffier Iansan Furina Jean, Escoffier Iansan Mavuika Xilonen

Res shred, dmg %, single target healing
